BSc in Chemistry

Integral (05)

Graduates will be able to carry out studies, investigations, experiments and analyses of a practical nature related to the composition, properties and possible transformations of substances; to apply known laws, principles and methods to discover and create new chemical products, find new uses for existing products and discover new production methods; to solve industrial problems specific to their area, by means of laboratory tests and research in general, research and development into methods and products, chemical, physical/chemical, biological/chemical, food, toxicological and forensic analyses, as well as standardization and quality control. They will also be able to work in areas where they have management, technical, consultancy, sales or marketing responsibilities, have to prepare budgets, to carry out inspections and provide technical and expert services in the areas mentioned above.   They work primarily in pure and applied research. Graduates will also be able to work as university lecturers.

Teaching Degree in Chemistry

Integral (05)

The subjects covered in the program for the teaching degree in chemistry qualify graduates to work in schools and non-school educational institutions both as elementary and secondary school teachers and in other areas related to education. Part of this professional training consists of investigation into and reflection on political and cultural aspects of education. They will also be able to work as university lecturers.

BSC in Technological Chemistry – Integral Course

Besides the abilities of a BSc Chemistry, graduates will have other possible responsibilities: the production, pre-treatment and final treatment of chemical products and residues; the operation, maintenance and control of industrial equipment, facilities and processes; technical and technical/economic studies, research, development, operations, processes and processing in the chemical industry. They work primarily in industry.

BSc in Technological Chemistry – Evening Course
